John
Norton began his career as an illustrator after he graduated
from Syracuse University, while he was teaching and working
on his M.S. degree in zoology at Clemson University. For over
15 years he has been using his artistic talent and his knowledge
of nature and science to create illustrations and cartoons for
newspapers field guides, biology textbooks, science journals
and advertising campaigns.
He
recently completed illustrations for the new Audobon Field
Guide to Tropical Marine Fishes, artwork for the new interactive
exhibit at Jug bay Wetlands Sanctuary and a series of cartoons
for Chesapeake Bay Foundation publications.
John
lives in historic downtown Annapolis where he cooks,
eats, and DRAWS seafood.
